LinkedIn has just launched a new experimental project and tool called InMaps. InMaps creates an incredible visual illustration of the connections within your business network of LinkedIn connections.

InMaps probes all of your connections, detects your relationships to those connections and the relationships those connections have to others in your network. After sifting through that information, LinkedIn separates your network into visual clusters.

The visual presentation of the data is quite stunning and gives you a lot of insight into who your major connections are. People with larger dots and names have more connections.

The app also creates a landing page with your own personal InMap and provides easy sharing to your Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn via share buttons so you can share your connections map with others.
